Fundraising Readiness Check-Up: Is Your Startup Ready to Raise? Find your weak spots before investors do

The Fundraising Readiness Check-Up is a free online assessment from 1991 Accelerator that lets founders know where their fundraising can go wrong. Sixty questions, three answer options each, grouped into six blocks: traction & financials, business model, team, product, EU compliance, fundraising readiness. The result is your Investment Readiness Score, with a summary across every area analysed and short explanations of where you are strong and where you are not yet.
It takes 15–20 minutes, it is free, and you can come back to it as often as you like.

Why would you need a check-up?

Most startups lose funding opportunities over things they could have seen coming — like the compliance nobody thought was important now, a financial model that falls apart on the second question, a market size assembled from random report, missing documents that stall due diligence for six weeks. The sad part is that startups rarely find out the true reason behind the investors' "no" or grant application coming back rejected. Founders are left guessing which of the fifty things they could improve is the one that actually cost them the funding. The Fundraising Readiness Check-Up is our attempt to give founders the feedback they need, if:

  • You are not sure your startup has grown into raising funding yet
  • You are preparing to pitch and want to be ready for the uncomfortable questions
  • You were recently turned down and never found out why
  • A lot has changed since your last grant or investment round.

What if the result score comes low? A low score is not a verdict on your company, but rather a checklist of things you still can fix. Our advice: do not hide your growth areas from investors or donors. Fix what you can fix now, and make the rest issues a part of your roadmap.
